Fresh Malanga Coco
We are a distributor of Santa Sofia Malanga from Mexico. Malanga is from the genus xanthosoma and is also known as a cocoyam, dasheen, or arrowhead but should not be confused with yucca. A fresh malanga corm is similar to a fresh potato and often enjoyed in Caribbean, African, and South American cuisine. Our fresh malanga corm is packaged in a traditional 40 lb. mesh bags. During 1Q2011, we expect our malanga production at approximately 500 metric tons. We also offer fresh lychee fruit during May-June and fresh rambutan fruit during June-July.
All our produce comes from our family owned grove in Oaxaca, Mexico that is GAP certified and our packing facility is GMP certified. Unlike some growers, we guarantee that our produce is not treated with any post-harvest chemicals. Food safety is important to you and that makes it our number one priority, we are fully compliant with FDA standards.
